As I sit here, with a mouth full of this fine Kraft product, I can't help but remember that fateful December afternoon. The war had ended some time ago, yet you could still hear the resentment resonating through the townsfolk's gnashed teeth. Jake and I were at the bar, as usual, trying to drink away the sun. The barkeep, sliding a filthy rag across the counter, squinted as he tried to read our shirts. He let a grin escape and shook his head.

"You got a problem, old man?" Jake took off his glasses.

The barkeep ran his forearm across his wrinkled face. "Ain't no problem here. You boys have guts, is all, wearin' those Kraft logos around these parts. This is a Stouffer's county."

Jake stood up, sliding his stool back across the hardwood floor. "If I wanted to choke down frozen food, I'd move my ass to Alaska. I'll take The Cheesiest any day." We used to call him Jake the Patriot. Always looking for a fight. I grabbed his arm in a vain attempt to pacify him. Looking around the room, I saw we were vastly outnumbered.

"Choose your next words carefully, son. Don't look like you're makin' many friends here." The bar patrons began edging closer to us. There was a wild look in their eyes; the kind that only came from malnutrition. I felt a moment of pity for them. Who could deny the inherent benefits of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese?

Jake discreetly slipped brass knuckles on underneath the counter. "You heard me." He turned, addressing the whole room. "Stouffer's is garbage." The patrons exploded. Frozen bricks of macaroni were tossed at us. We fought off near twenty men, leaving each one with regret. Jake turned back to the barkeep, spitting blood onto the floor. "That, old man, is why Kraft will always win

My daughter made the most delicious dinner last night. She is a macaroni and cheese lover. Her grandmother used to make macaroni and cheese from scratch, over the stove, while everyone else was buying boxes of Kraft. It was these memories that led her to want to try the macaroni and cheese in the crockpot.
This is a very cheesy, rich recipe.
Start with two cups of macaroni noodles - this can be made with either elbow macaroni or even penne pasta. Boil the pasta seven minutes. Pasta should be soft at this point. Drain the pasta but do not rinse.
While the macaroni is boiling, grab a sauce pan and combine four tablespoons of butter and two and a half cups of cheese. We like mild cheddar. The original recipe called for sharp cheddar. We also use a lower fat cheese, thus cutting out some of the calories. Stir the butter and cheese together over a low fire until the cheese melts.
Pour the melted cheese mixture into the crock pot and add in three scrambled eggs. We actually used one whole egg and two egg whites. I couldn't justify the extra yolks. Mix in one cup of sour cream. We used low fat sour cream. I've cooked with the non fat sour cream and the taste changes. If you can, stick with either low fat or regular sour cream.

Add in one can of cheese soup. Any brand is fine, we happened to use the popular national brand. We searched for a lower fat version of the soup and could not find one. Had we found it, we would have used it. Add in a half teaspoon of ground mustard and salt and pepper to taste. We are not salt users and the butter has salt in it, so we did not add any salt to our mac and cheese. We did add in pepper, probably a half teaspoon worth.
Stir everything together and then pour in drained noodles. Mix together to coat the noodles. We took off the lid three times to stir it. The more you remove the lid, the more cooking time you'll need.
The sauce thickened in between each stirring. The sides and bottom ended up being just a little browned and crunchy which I personally love.
Kids love cut up hot dogs in their macaroni and cheese. Add the hot dogs for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
As I read reviews on this recipe, I noted many people said theirs was overcooked. Make sure your crockpot is on low and make sure you stir it a few times while cooking.
We served this with a green salad and garlic bread and had a wonderful dinner that everyone enjoyed.

  1. Quite possibly the stupidest, most boring fucking "BLAHg" in the history of the internet. Seriously. Misleading headline, and utter BULLSHIT content. Stop publishing anything. Everything. NOW!! Go back to Twitter and wallow with the rest of the braindead.

    1. What a hateful individual. I admit the barfight scene was extremely cheesy (wait was that on purpose because it's a kraft mac and cheese blog? You clever bastard) anyway that doesn't merit that response. The recipes I've found are extremely useful. Clearly someone needs to consider psychiatry because your hatefulness is extremely concerning. No sane mind would react like that.

  2. So this recipe has nothing to do with Kraft Macaroni and cheese, it just has the name randomly scattered throughout for search engines. And why the fuck can't anyone just post a recipe with instructions and not try to make a god damned novel out of it. Recipe blogs are the worst.

  3. Gd, this recipe title is misleading as shit. Not what i wanted at all. If i wanted a home made recipe i would not have searched the Kraft name.
